MLM Introducing: Seor - Italo [MLM023]

Hailing from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Seor has spent the past eight years developing a sound influenced by the rolling tech house grooves of the 2000s. Drawing inspiration from the era’s unmistakable energy and rhythm, those influences continue to shape his approach in the studio today.

The Inspiration

The story behind this release is actually quite spontaneous and organic. I made these four tracks over the course of maybe three or four months, purely from inspiration and without the intention of them becoming a release or even belonging together. At some point, I sent the tracks to Luciano and then completely moved on from them. I didn’t really think about them anymore. A few months later, he got back to me saying he wanted to release them. So in a way, the release was never really planned. It just came together naturally, which makes it feel even more special to me.

The Family

Releasing music on Machaca La Membrana means a lot to me. I've always looked up to Luciano, not only for his DJ sets but also for the way he plays and the creativity he brings into his music. So being able to share my own work on his label feels like a dream and a big step forward. It kind of validates the direction of the sound I'm trying to build.

The Future

Next month I have a release for an ADE VA and in December, a very cool gig at Shelter Amsterdam! More music also coming soon.
