MLM Introducing: ALTO & Ramoss - Late Night Love [MLM014]

London’s underground scene has played an important role in shaping both ALTO and Ramoss. While ALTO began producing at the age of 12, swapping video games for music creation, Ramoss discovered music production years later through FL Studio, while studying graphic design. Bringing together two different journeys and perspectives, their debut on Machaca La Membrana features an ALTO original alongside a duo collaboration.

Story behind the release: The release was inspired by those late-night moments on the dancefloor where the energy feels completely locked in. I wanted to create something emotional but still powerful in a club setting. 'Late Night Love' is a track that really represents the direction my sound is moving towards. (ALTO)

There has always been a lot of mutual admiration and respect between Alto and myself. One day we locked ourselves in the studio and started working on a few grooves together. The idea for 'Rico' came together very naturally, and we were both really happy with how it evolved. (Ramoss)

First place you played your release live: The first time I played 'Late Night Love' live was during my headline set at Ministry of Sound in London. The crowd reaction was amazing and the energy in the room was unreal. It was definitely a special moment hearing it on such an iconic sound system. (ALTO)

The first time I played 'Rico' was at an illegal forest party, which was a pretty funny and truly underground experience. We actually had to walk along the motorway to find the location. It ended up being the perfect setting to test the track for the first time. (Ramoss)

Most memorable Luciano moment: My most memorable Luciano moment was when he signed Late Night Love. Releasing on one of his labels had always been a dream of mine, so getting that support meant a lot and felt like a huge milestone in my career. (ALTO)

Definitely listening to Luciano B2B Ricardo Villalobos at the Cocoon closing party. That changed my sound. And of course, getting signed to Machaca was another unforgettable milestone for me. (Ramoss)

What’s next: I’ve got a lot of new music coming soon along with some exciting collaborations and upcoming shows. Right now I’m focused on continuing to grow as both a producer and DJ while pushing my sound even further. (ALTO)

There’s a lot of new music on the way. I’m also working towards launching my own record label. After several successful showcases of my brand Barbaro in London, Milan, and New York, I’m really excited about what’s coming next. At the same time, I’m focused on staying grounded and enjoying the process step by step. (Ramoss)
