Machaca La Membrana Celebrates One Year Anniversary

In August 2025, Machaca La Membrana arrived with a simple yet powerful purpose: to create a home for the high-energy, dance floor focused music finding its way into Luciano’s sets. Twelve months later, that idea has developed into an identity of its own.

Launched by Luciano as a sub-label of Cadenza, Machaca La Membrana represents a different side of his musical world. Where Cadenza carries more than two decades of history and an unmistakable legacy, Machaca was built for the here and now. Music made for the moment, selected with the club firmly in mind.

Since the beginning, there has been a constant connection to Luciano. Machaca has become an outlet for music he genuinely wants to play, with releases regularly finding their way into his performances around the world. Rather than existing separately from the booth, the label has grown directly alongside it.

It started with Diego & Adiel’s Gin Tonic, opening the catalogue and setting the pace for what would follow. Eighteen releases later, that initial direction has continued to evolve, moving through different shades of house while keeping rhythm and dance at the centre.

Latin influence runs naturally through Machaca, reflecting Luciano’s own roots and a musical language that has long been woven into the Cadenza story. But the label isn’t defined by geography. Artists across Central and South America sit alongside producers from the UK, Europe and beyond.

A number of releases have marked key moments along the way. Carloh's Secretos saw the Ecuadorian artist put his own stamp on Luciano’s Los Niños De Fuera, bringing one of the label boss’ classics into the Machaca world. Sambo also became an important part of the Machaca story, returning for two releases during its first year, Sweet Dreams being a staple in Luciano’s sets. Matteo Dentone’s Underground has been heard across the world’s biggest dance floors, alongside the more recent Santos from Reenday & Zak Cox which continues to keep a position in Luciano’s playlist. Over in the charts, ALTO’s Late Night Love climbed to #2 in Beatport’s Tech House Top 10, while Colombian duo Jeremias & Arias reached #5 in the Hype Top 100 with Orquestral.

The family has continued to grow, with Moreira, Souave, JHAY RHOD and Michele Arricale all joining the label in recent months. And as the first anniversary arrives, the story continues. Next week Reenday returns with Amamos Bailar, a message that feels particularly fitting as Machaca enters its second year. Because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love to dance?

There’s still plenty more to come from Machaca La Membrana. One year on, the label has established its own place within the Cadenza universe, while staying true to the simple idea that started it all: music made to be played, felt and shared in the moment.
